I actually like jeggings… and leggings as pants for that matter

Seriously? It’s 2010… who cares about what other people wear. Silly Bandz, concert tshirts, acid wash jeans or even GASP jeggings- keep it to yourself, I don’t care what you think of mine or anyone else’s outfit! (Except if its super cute, of course) If you don’t like it or like the way you look in it, then here’s a hint… DON’T WEAR IT.

And please, for the love of Pete please don’t let me see one more tweet about how leggings are not pants. They are. There are two sleeve things for me to put my legs in. These qualify as pants. If I decide to wear them outside (in public!!! OMFG!) that’s my choice AND my right- if you don’t feel comfortable wearing them, then don’t. I’m not being indecent, so if you’re going to judge me, do it silently please…

I am very intrigued by this new Tumblr Mallory’s Clothes, which promises to show every outfit worn by Justine Bateman’s character on Family Ties in chronological order. It will be interesting to observe the shifts in wardrobe — Mallory was meant to be something of a vain fashionista type — over the course of the ’80s. So far they’ve only been through the beginning of the show’s first season in 1982, and her clothes have been mostly pretty great, and relatively timeless. (Or do I just say that because I live in NYC and there’s always a lot of pretty girls mining the same late ’70s/early ’80s vintage style?) Anyway, I’d love to see similar projects for other television characters — Elaine Benes from Seinfeld seems like a very good and obvious choice for this type of blog. I’ll tell you this — looking through these posts, I’m starting to realize that Justine Bateman/Mallory Keaton definitely had some lasting influence on what kind I find to be foxy.

She’s looking very Alex P. Keaton, young female republican in this one.

I see Mallory’s Clothes II coming soon- filled with mostly t-shirts. and jeans. Probably the same jeans really. And the t-shirts will probably be the same, just in different colours because there was a sale at the Gap on deep Vs. No judging please.

Stephen Colbert’s Letter to Reddit | BuzzFeed

Reddit recently reached out to Stephen Colbert asking him to hold a ” Restoring Truthiness ” rally parodying Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally. Rather than just create a simple facebook group supporting this cause, however, Reddit asked people to donate money to DonorsChoose.org , hoping to get Colbert’s attention by breaking Hilary Clinton’s record of $29,945. Less than 8 hours later, Redditors obliterated Clinton’s record, have since raised over $100,000 and received this fantastic response from Colbert himself . I almost had a pregnant while reading it.

this is just awesome.
